Living in West Metro
Jefferson County's cities sit right at the base of the foothills. Olde Town Arvada is a walkable historic district with its own commuter rail station. Lakewood has Belmar, Green Mountain and Bear Creek Lake Park. Golden is a college town on Clear Creek, home to the Colorado School of Mines, with some of the fastest access to I-70 and the ski areas.
Applewood and Wheat Ridge round out the area with quiet, established neighborhoods and larger lots.

The area is served by Jeffco Public Schools, one of the largest districts in Colorado.
Getting around
